Chevrolet Blazer EV Electrifies with Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX Award Win

The auto industry is taking notice of Chevrolet's bold entrance into the electric vehicle space. The all-new 2024 Blazer EV has captured a prestigious 2024 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX Award, a recognition that puts it among the elite for cabin design, materials, comfort and user-friendly technologies.

Each year, WardsAuto's respected team of judges evaluates and scores new vehicle interiors across a wide range of criteria to determine the 10 best overall experiences. From a pool of 25 vehicles, the Blazer EV rose to the top based on its fresh design, innovative user interfaces and great attention to detail.

"The Blazer EV's main display screen rivals those in luxury brand models with its great resolution and clarity," said WardsAuto judge Christie Schweinsberg. At 17.7 inches diagonally, the vibrant touchscreen is the centerpiece of the contemporary cabin.

But the interior impresses on more than just screen size alone. As Bob Gritzinger noted, "Eye-popping red accents and oh-so-sporty radial air vents are just the starting points for the Blazer EV." From the two-tone colour schemes and premium materials to the sculpted styling touches, Chevy designers created a voluptuous yet functional space.

Balancing modern tech with intuitive ergonomics was also key. Gritzinger praised "the lightning-quick Google-based voice controls backed by a bevy of proper knobs and switches to manage the most-used functions." It seamlessly blends cutting-edge and traditional interfaces.

Phil Zak, executive design director at Chevrolet, explained the team's user-focused philosophy: "Our designers worked hard to elevate the exterior and interior design of the Blazer EV but maintain its true functionality. This award shows we are offering a great experience to our customers."

More than just an electric vehicle, the Blazer EV provides an immersive and integrated cabin experience befitting of premium vehicles. The flowing shapes, ambient lighting and smart packaging create an open, upscale environment for drivers and passengers alike.

Leveraging GM's Ultium platform, the dedicated EV architecture allows for a flat floor and optimal space utilization. The front trunk or "frunk" even adds a wash of convenience with extra secure storage. No detail was overlooked in pursuit of the optimal electric driving experience.

The 2024 Blazer EV is offered in two well-equipped trims, LT and RS, with the lineup starting at $56,999. Both models come standard with the massive 17.7-inch touchscreen, 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and a generous suite of tech like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and Wi-Fi hotspot.

Aiming for the maximum driving range, the Blazer EV RS can be equipped with a rear-wheel drive configuration, enabling an impressive 521 kilometres of emissions-free travel on a full charge.

With its Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX Award win, the 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV signals GM's commitment to bringing electric vehicles into the mainstream with no compromise in design, comfort or user experience. It's a new era for the brand and the industry.
